Inviting Team Members
Varai Sprints is built for teams. You can invite colleagues to your workspace and assign them the right level of access using roles.
Understanding roles
Before you invite anyone, it helps to understand the three workspace roles:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access — manage workspace settings, members, releases, sprints, tasks, and issues. Can invite and remove members. |
| Member | Can create, edit, and update tasks, issues, sprints, and releases. Cannot change workspace settings or manage members. |
| Viewer | Read-only access. Can view all workspace content but cannot create or edit anything. |
Which role should I assign?
- Admins are typically team leads or project managers.
- Members are developers, testers, designers — anyone actively working on the project.
- Viewers are stakeholders, clients, or anyone who needs visibility but should not make changes.
Inviting people to a workspace
- Open the workspace you want to add members to.
- Click Team in the left sidebar.
- Click Invite Members.
- Type an email address in the Email Addresses field, then press Enter, Tab, or , (comma) to turn it into a chip.
- Repeat for each person you want to invite — each chip represents one invitation.
- Select the role for this batch: Admin, Member, or Viewer.
- Click Send Invitation (or Send N Invitations if you added more than one).
The invited people each receive an email with a link to accept the invitation. Once they accept, they appear in the Team list for that workspace.
Inviting multiple people at once
- Each email becomes a separate chip. Click the × on any chip to remove it before sending.
- You can paste a comma- or newline-separated list of emails and each one is turned into its own chip automatically.
- Pressing Backspace in an empty input removes the most recently added chip.
- Chips shown in red are not valid email addresses — fix or remove them before sending.
What the invited person sees
The invited person receives an email from Varai Sprints saying they have been invited to join a workspace.
- If they already have an account, clicking the link takes them straight to the workspace.
- If they do not have an account yet, they are prompted to create one before accessing the workspace.
Changing someone's role
- Go to Team in the left sidebar.
- Find the member whose role you want to change.
- Click the role badge next to their name.
- Select the new role from the dropdown.
Only Admins can change roles
You need to be a workspace Admin to change another member's role.
Removing a member
- Go to Team in the left sidebar.
- Find the member you want to remove.
- Click the ... (more options) button next to their name.
- Select Remove from workspace.
Removed members lose access immediately. Their past contributions (tasks, comments, time logs) remain in the workspace.
