Organization Settings
Organization settings control workspace-wide configuration that applies to all members — including working hours, public holidays, and general organization details. Getting these right ensures accurate capacity calculations and sprint planning.
Accessing organization settings
- In the left sidebar, click Settings.
- Select Organization Settings.
Only workspace Admins can view and edit organization settings.
Organization profile
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Organization name | The display name of your organization. Appears in the top navigation and emails. |
| Logo | Upload a logo (PNG or JPEG, max 2 MB). Appears in the header and emails. |
| Timezone | The default timezone for the organization. Used for date calculations and notifications. |
| Default language | Display language for the application. |
To update:
- Edit the fields.
- Click Save Changes.
Work week
The work week configuration tells Varai Sprints which days of the week are working days. This is used when calculating sprint capacity and business days.
To configure:
- Under Work Week, check the days that are working days in your organization.
- Set Hours per day — the standard number of working hours per day (e.g., 8).
- Click Save.
If different people work different hours (e.g., some work 6-hour days), the organization setting is the default. Individual capacity within a sprint can be adjusted per person. See Sprint capacity.
Public holidays
Adding public holidays ensures they are automatically excluded from sprint capacity calculations — your team will not be expected to work on days your country observes as holidays.
Adding a holiday
- In the Holidays section, click Add Holiday.
- Enter the holiday name (e.g., "Christmas Day").
- Select the date.
- Optionally mark it as Recurring to apply it automatically every year on the same date.
- Click Save Holiday.
Editing a holiday
- Find the holiday in the list.
- Click the Edit icon.
- Update the name, date, or recurring setting.
- Save.
Deleting a holiday
- Find the holiday in the list.
- Click the Delete icon (trash bin).
- Confirm.
Changing holidays does not retroactively update completed sprint capacity records. It only affects future sprints and any sprint that has not yet been started.
Notification settings
Configure organization-wide notification defaults:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Email notifications | Enable or disable email notifications for the whole organization |
| Weekly digest | Send a weekly summary email to all members (on/off) |
| Timer reminders | Remind members when a timer has been running for 4+ hours |
Individual members can override these defaults in their personal profile settings.
File storage
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| File uploads enabled | Enable or disable file attachments across the workspace |
| Max file size | Maximum file size per upload (default: 25 MB) |
Disabling file uploads prevents new attachments from being added but does not delete existing attachments.
Danger zone
The Danger Zone section contains irreversible actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Delete organization | Permanently deletes the organization and all associated data. Cannot be undone. Requires typing the organization name to confirm. |
Only the organization Owner can delete the organization.
