Viewing Time Reports

Time reports give you a summary of how time has been spent across your team — by person, by sprint, by task type, or across any date range. Use them to understand team capacity utilization, spot over/under-worked team members, and report on time spent to stakeholders.

Opening the time report

  1. In the left sidebar, click Reports.
  2. Select Time Report from the report types.

Filtering the report

Use the filter panel at the top to control what data is shown:

Understanding the data

ColumnWhat it means
Logged hoursTime explicitly logged via timer or manual entry
Estimated hoursTime estimated during planning
VarianceDifference between estimated and logged (positive = over estimate, negative = under)
EntriesNumber of individual time log entries
Comparing estimated vs logged

Large variances can highlight tasks that took much longer than expected (worth a retrospective discussion) or tasks that were grossly over-estimated (refine your estimation next sprint).
